Descenders
With over four decades in the safety equipment field, we produce figure 8 rescue descenders for professionals working at height, outdoor users, and rescue teams. Our descenders are designed to safely lower a person from high places such as buildings, construction sites, or mountain environments by controlling descent speed through friction adjusted against the rope.
Each descender is made by combining forging with precision CNC machining, giving it solid structural stability and reliable mechanical control during critical work. Whether used in rescue operations, industrial work, construction sites, or outdoor activities, our descender devices provide a secure and efficient way to descend from heights. Our figure 8 descenders come in two material choices to match different job requirements:
- Steel figure 8 descenders: Our YIE001 and YIE002 models are built from high strength steel for maximum durability, making them suitable for heavy duty rescue and industrial use.
- Aluminum alloy figure 8 descenders: Our YAE series, including models YAE001 through YAE006 and the YAE008 handy descender, offers a lighter alternative for mountain climbing and other situations where reducing weight is important.
Auto Descenders
We offer the FORT line of auto-descent devices for emergency evacuation, featuring an advanced bidirectional design that prioritizes safety, durability, and ease of use. Each device is made from forged aluminum with a hard-anodized finish, providing a sturdy yet lightweight design for demanding rescue operations and various evacuation plans.
Our FORT auto descenders run on ropes that meet the EN341:2011 and EN1891:1988/1A standards. The range includes the YAE100, YAE200, and YAE210 sub models, with a CE extension certificate available as an option. To support long-term use, we also offer compatible accessories available for purchase as needed.
As we expand globally, we welcome authorized local agents and long-term partners to work with us in building safer rescue environments.
Whether to choose an auto descender or a figure 8 descender depends on how much descent control you want the device to manage:
- Auto descender (FORT line): Our auto descender self-regulates the descent for controlled speed, making it ideal for emergency evacuation where automated control is needed. It comes with standard accessories such as the YAH030 Aluminum Snap Hook or the YIH019D Swivel Hook with Twist Lock.
- Figure 8 descender: Our separate figure 8 descender line, including models such as YAE001 and YIE001, is designed as a manual friction-type tool. Users control the rope's friction to manage descent speed, making it suitable for those who prefer direct, traditional control in mountaineering or tactical work.
